Sailboat Broker

Bayshore Yacht Sales is looking for a Sailboat Broker to join our growing team in the Southern Georgian Bay area. The ideal candidate is an energetic salesperson with a background in sailing and a passion for boating and being on the water.

The successful Sailboat Broker will demonstrate the advantages and benefits of Bayshore Yacht Sales while actively seeking new customers and maintaining existing customer relations in order to sell new, used and brokerage boats ranging from 14 to 60 feet.

The Sailboat Broker must recognize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote him/herself to exceeding the customer’s expectations.

The ideal candidate will have most of the follow attributes:

  • Project a professional and knowledgeable image at all times
  • High level of service and product knowledge
  • History of outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Aptitude for navigating the internet for research
  • Experience in the boating industry and/or as a recreational boater

In this role, the duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Handle walk-in, phone and internet inquiries and follow-up on leads
  • Promote sales to prior clients to help generate leads
  • Acquire full knowledge of complete product line, features and accessories available for purchase
  • Input and management of customer information in our CMS to ensure outstanding client care
  • Devote him/herself to exceeding the customers satisfaction and developing long-term relationships
  • Follows the Bayshore Yacht Sales process to improve selling skills, including prospecting for new customers and follow-up on customers previously contacted
  • Help clients through the purchasing process with assistance from management and office administration
  • Responsible for managing vessel listing and marketing with support from office administration
  • Responsible for showing products in various settings including showrooms, off-site displays, shows, and on water
  • Managing delivery of vessels with assistance from office administration and service teams
  • Professionally lead and support customer events including Rendezvous & Seminars
  • Demonstrate basic Seamanship skills

Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have a Pleasure Craft Operating Card
Must have experience operating sailing yachts and recreational pleasure craft
Basic seamanship skills would be considered an asset
