The Wellcraft 38 Scarab has a generous cabin complete with a queen-size V-berth with plenty of storage, custom-embroidered upholstery and its own hanging locker. In the galley is a refrigerator not far from the standard AM-FM cassette stereo system.
At the helm is a custom sport wheel, Merc Zero Effort controls, high-performance gauges with color-matched bezels and K-planes, and mechanical indicators to fine-tune the ride. The engine compartment reveals color-matched gelcoat, a diamond plate base and cleanly routed wiring.
An important feature of the Wellcraft 38 Scarab is its solid construction. The hull and the deck are bonded together with fiberglass and through-bolted; the fiberglass is hand-laid; there are micro balloon-filled strakes for additional strength; and a glass encapsulated stringer system with an integral stress distribution pad.
